Sorry all, I meant to have an interesting post with pictures but I got home late and have to pack.

What does one knit in Spain? And where might I find all the yarn shops ;-)

    hmm, depends where you are going, but don’t get too excited, its acrilic heaven in spain at the mo, they are not quite into the luxury yarn revolution yet, but you can buy some fun cheap stuff. Grenada has a couple of shops.

    Something that won’t make your hands hot (unless you’re going to the north where it’s cooler!).

    Actually, knitting is thought to have arrived in Europe when Islamic peoples from North Africa were on the move in the Middle Ages (I am slightly obsessed with Andalusia and its history). The earliest knitting in Europe is found in Spain from about the 16C. So something with an Islamic motif perhaps?
