The buses aren’t running, most of the tube is closed, and I don’t have appropriate footwear anyway! According to the BBC, this is the most snow London has had in six years and the forecast predicts possibly as much again over the next 24 hours - Yay!

I’m feeling an irresistable urge to go build a snowman. Maybe on the windwsill so I don’t have to go outside - there’s plenty of windowsill snow:

I can see that this could get kind of annoying if it dragged on and on, but it’s great fun for the first day anyway :-D

Actually, I think we have much the same amount. We’ve just got extra outside space to be covered with the stuff. :-)

    Lovely pictures!
No work for me today either… more time to finish my new wheel.

Your road looks amazing in the snow! Enjoy building the snowman! I just watched someone else building one at work!

Our friend, Bev, pointed us to these photos. Lovely views. Trying to imagine how these folks got their cars dug out. That must have been an experience. We see this every Winter, and it’s always a pleasure to see a new snow. But, we rely on four-wheel drive vehicles to get around, once the joy has worn off, and we have to return to work. Two months of old snow frozen into ice, and digging a car out of on-street parking, can send the bravest soul to warmer climates.

It is beautiful! I certainly hope your British infrastructure tolerates the snow better than our American infrastructure seems to do. That last picture looks like Narnia. Really, I am an adult!

I can see four snowmen from my bedroom window. One of them must be over 7 feet tall. I’ve never experienced snow this deep in London before - enjoy!

Goregous pics! I’m very jealous of all the snow in London, we only got a little bit of powdery snow up here!

WOOHOO! A SNOW DAY! Enjoy. It’s a great thing every now and again…so exciting. If you want to go outside, put on wool socks, (wool trousers, if you have them) sturdy shoes, and then put plastic bags over your shoes. Use rubber bands to keep the plastic bags up on your socks. Have fun. Snow angels are very fun. :)

I’m really jealous. Here in Gothenburg, Sweden, the most we’ve had all winter is about ½ inch. But it was enough for the kids to build tiny little snowmen of.

Rather a contrast to 40 degrees in the shade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or 31 in the kitchen at 9 pm.

Blessedly cool now, though - but no snow ;-0

What, no snowman? Oooh or a snow sheep!
Anyway I just heard you mentioned in Craftlit, yay!

I just found your blog via your Express Lane sock pattern. Snow does look really pretty, but you’re right…too much and it can get on your nerves. :)

    Diane,
Enjoy the snow, you can have it! I have plenty here in Michigan this year…thank you very much! I have awarded you the Kreativ Blogger Award over on my blog. Congratulations!

Ok I just have to laugh a little at you, we get that much snow every week here in Utah! I really hate driving in the snow but I love how it looks!
