So proud of myself, knitting away at my Karenina Socks. I made one mistake but found it before too many rows later and ripped back to fix it without trauma. Knit…knit…knit…

You know that bit where it says in the pattern “continue decreasing the gusset in this manner until there are 30sts left on the sole of the foot”

Knit…knit…knit…

Look a bit closer…

“Does this foot look narrow to you?”

At that point I had 18 stitches left on the sole of my foot. Urk.

Rip…rip…rip…

    *hugs*

It happens. At least you found it before finishing the whole sock! :)

Eep. Well, I guess at least you caught it early and you knit so quickly I’m sure you’ll make it back up to that point again in no time :). I hope everything’s going well with knitterly things :)

I’ve done that, and the one where you knit a heel flap *half* the length you need…and twice at least I’ve started to turn the heel BEFORE doing the flap…so don’t feel bad! ;o)

  5. Diane says:

Hehe. Glad I’m not the only one. I’ve also been known to start picking up stitches along the side of the flap before doing the turn. This is why I am a short row girl!

Were you reading agatha Christie when this over knit occurred?

    LOL. Oops.

(But I’ve so done that. Gah. Or forgotten to decrease at all… that was brilliant, too.)
