About Me
My fibre love was born on a sheep farm in Australia. Spinning, knitting and other fibre arts were the norm around our place and one of my first memories is of watching my father help build our new shearing shed.
Upon moving to London, I had a chance to realise a dream, combining my teaching background with my love of fibre to start a new business in a new industry. Back on the farm, my mother helps to feed my obsession by thoughtfully providing a home for the various fibre-producing animals I urge her to adopt.
Maths books have been exchanged for lessons on grist, twist and plying and these days my writing is generally about sheep. As our tiny London flat gradually fills to overflowing with fibre and yarn stash, I am setting out to change the world - one new spinner at a time!
